NVIDIA Driver On Your Windows Computer

In this page, I am going to teach you how to install NVIDIA driver on your Windows computer. Once you install Android NVIDIA driver, you will be able to connect your smartphone or tablet with the computer and perform development activities like stock ROM firmware upgrade, Android rooting, etc. 

In our previous tutorial, I have provided the steps to install ADB driver. But installing it on your computer will only let you connect your Android device to it. If you are planning to flash stock or custom firmware with the help of a Windows computer, you will need to install NVIDIA driver on it. 

Steps To Install NVIDIA Driver On Windows Computer 
Step 1: To get started, download Android NVIDIA driver and extract it to a folder in your computer. 


Step 2: Next, open “Control Panel” in your computer. In the Control panel items, click on “Device Manager” to launch its window. 


Step 3: In the “Device Manager” window, click on “Action” followed by “Add Legacy Hardware“. 


Step 4: Now “Welcome to the Add Hardware Wizard” window will open up. Click on “Next“. 


Step 5: Next, select the advanced option i.e., “Install the hardware that I manually select from a list” option and click “Next” button. 


Step 6: In the next window, you will need to select the Hardware Category. Select “Show All Devices“, click “Next” and choose the Android NVIDIA driver folder (from Step 1) when you get the prompt for choosing the driver folder. 


Step 7: Now, you will see the message “Hardware to install: Android ADB Interface” in the Add Legacy Wizard. Click “Next” to start the hardware installation process. 


Step 8: The Android NVIDIA driver will be installed within a few minutes and once the process is finished, you will see the “Completing the Add Hardware Wizard“. Click “Finish” to close the window. 


That’s it. Now you have successfully finished installing NVIDIA driver on your computer. From now on, you will be able to use the computer for flashing firmware on your device. 
Note: You can use this method to install NVIDIA driver on all versions of Windows operating system.
